End of Life Celebrations for Direct Funerals

As Celebrants we are aware of the increasing rise in Direct funerals and cremations and these may fulfill the desires and objectives of a funeral, however, they may not provide the spiritual support needed to come to terms with a loss.

Even if loved ones plan to have a memorial service or celebration of life cerememony further down the line, they may find it difficult to ‘move on’ without funeral or celebration of life at the point of cremation. In our society and culture, we are familiar with booking time off for a funeral, but the same may not happen for a memorial or celebration of life a few weeks, months or even a year down the line.

Please just take time to consider the options and talk them through with your Funeral Director or Celebrant.
