for Direct Funerals
Every life tells a story……don’t miss your chance to share it
As Direct Funerals become more popular than ever, there is a concern that people are missing out on an important part of the grieving process. Even if you plan to have a memorial service or celebration of life further down the line, getting family and friends together may prove difficult.
In our society, it is an accepted part of our culture to book time off work etc for a funeral, but will the same happen for a memorial or celebration of life if it is some weeks, months or even a year later?
As an Independent Celebrants I fully support and welcome all types of ceremonies, but Celebrants are concerned that if you don’t say goodbye to a loved one, whether on the day of the funeral or at another time, the healing process may not take place fully. Please consider your options carefully and talk them through with your Funeral Director, Celebrant or Grief Counsellor.
